SMALL BUSINESS AND START-UP GRANT PROGRAMS

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development provided new information regarding the $400 million South Dakota Small Business Grant Program and the $10 million Start-Up Grant Program.

  • Applications for these programs will go live at 8:00 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, October 13. 
  • The applications will be an online form only
  • Once live, the applications will be located at covid.sd.gov/smallbusiness-healthcare-grants.aspx (this page will be continually updated as more information becomes available).

In addition to the SDBA fact sheets (click here to view), the Governor’s Office of Economic Development developed five industry-specific flyers with information concerning who is eligible and what information is needed for submission beginning on Tuesday, October 13 (click here to view).

There are various avenues of support available.  The SD Small Business and Healthcare Grant office Call Center: open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday at 605-937-7243. You can email covid.bizgrants@state.sd.us.  To learn more about the Small Business and Healthcare Provider Relief Program, visit COVID.SD.GOV.  All of these resources will be available on covid.sd.gov/smallbusiness-healthcare-grants.aspx when finalized.

Because the number of applicants is unknown, remember that it is crucial to complete an application if you have any desire to access available funds, even if you don’t think you qualify.
