Make plans now to attend the 2019 Annual Leadership Conference of the South Dakota Broadcasters Association! This year’s conference will be held at The Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Sioux Falls on August 16 & 17, 2019 in conjunction with the Sioux Falls Airshow.
2019 SDBA Leadership Conference Schedule
We start things off gathering for a Networking Breakfast. We’ll take care of business, and hear from Sue Keenom, with NAB, Washington, DC. The SDBA has had an incredible year! We have many exciting things to celebrate, and new opportunities for 2020.
At 8:00am, Friday morning, Chris Lytle, Instant Sales Training, will be presenting a 4 hour Broadcast Sales Seminar, including topics, “Building Relationships Your Competitor Can’t Steal”, and “Back to Basics…and Beyond”. The seminar is recommended for all sellers and managers. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Also at 8:00am Friday morning, we’re excited to welcome Boyd Huppert, KARE-TV, Land of 10,000 Stories. Boyd will be providing a Broadcast Journalism Seminar, with topics that include, “Compelling Stories on a Deadline”, “The Write Stuff”, “Social Media: It’s Personal”. Staff of member stations are encouraged to attend any of the seminars! There will be no cost, but registration will be required.
The Annual SDBA Awards Luncheon will be held on Friday at 12:30pm. After lunch, Chris Lytle will present “Leadership Lessons for Managers” for GMs and Leadership. We’ll wrap things up with a closing reception, and invite all member stations and their staff to attend the Sioux Falls Airshow on Saturday, August 17. We’ll have an area reserved for a little shade, and refreshments.
