Selected from nationwide nominees at Radio Ink’s Radio Masters Sales Summit September 10th in Cincinnati
The 32nd Radio Wayne Awards were celebrated at the Radio Masters Sales Summit at the Cincinnati Airport Marriott.
Riverfront Broadcasting’s Steve Jacobs was selected from a field of eight finalists in the “Digital Sales Specialist or Sales Manager of the Year” category.
Winners were determined by a “blind” system in which judges do not know the identity of the finalists they are evaluating.
Riverfront Broadcasting’s Jay Murphy notes, “For Radio sales professionals, this is the highest honor in the industry. We couldn’t be more proud of Steve and his accomplishments, which are well deserved and seldom recognized. It’s really gratifying to know we’ve got some of the best talent on the planet right here in the Black Hills. Something Steve’s clients are already well aware of.”
The Radio Wayne Awards were named for Wayne Cornils, whose passion and devotion to the radio industry he thought more should emulate. Because Wayne came from sales and marketing, it was fitting to recognize the other side of the business that keeps the stations, local retail, brick-and-mortar and online, humming with innovative, well-crafted marketing partnerships. In that spirit, the Radio Ink Radio Wayne Awards were born in 1992.
